When you enable multi-budgets, resource management becomes much more granular. Instead of allocating team members only at the overall project level, you can now view, assign, and manage resource allocations for individual budgets directly within the project. This guide walks you through navigating budget-level allocations and creating targeted resource requests.

In Resource Management, budgets appear directly under the project.

  • The project row expands to show budgets.

  • Under each budget, team members who belong to that budget are listed.

  • Allocations are made per budget, then aggregated:

    • At the budget level

    • At the project level

Creating Resource Requests

  1. Open Resource Management or the project’s resource view.

  2. Create a resource request (new team member or additional hours).

  3. Select the project.

  4. Select the budget the request belongs to.

  5. Fill in the remaining details and submit.

For operations such as delete allocations or shift allocations, select the relevant budget so that Rocketlane adjusts the correct budget.

Replacement flows that swap one user for another across the project operate at project level and may apply across all budgets where that user is assigned.
