Project Performance: Insights on Project Timelines and Task completion

The Project Performance Report in Rocketlane lets you analyse how efficiently is your team managing projects and completing tasks. 


You can track when your projects have started and ended, budgeted vs tracked hours, intended vs actual project duration difference, percentage of phases and tasks completed on time a lot more.



There are two tabs in the Project Performance report:


  • The Project timeline view: This view lets you compare the intended project timelines versus the actual project timelines. 



  • The Phases and Tasks view: This view lets you to get into detail and track the timelines for specific phases and tasks too.





Filter


Lets you filter projects or tasks or phases based on project fields





Projects Created Filter:


This filter lets you analyse the people performance based on time frames so that you can specifically monitor performances for specific time periods.



The 'Custom' option lets you add custom 'Start date' and 'Due date' so that you can analyse people performance for specific dates.




Export CSV


Click on the export icon to export the data in the table as a csv.

Project Performance Cards


The Project Performance cards indicate some useful statistics to help you analyse your team's output better. 


Based on the filters applied and the time period selected, get a quick summary of the the projects in terms of average deviation in start date and end date, the percentage of projects starting and ending on time and also the budgeted vs tracked hours.



  • Are projects starting on time?
    Mentions the average difference between planned and actual start dates of projects.

  • Projects started on time
    Mentions the percentage of projects that have the same planned and actual start dates.

  • Are projects ending on time?
    Mentions the average difference between planned and actual end dates of projects.

  • Projects completed on time
    Mentions the percentage of projects that have the same planned and actual end dates.

  • Budgeted vs tracked hours
    Mentions the number of budgeted hours vs the tracked hours that have been added for team members.



The Project Performance Report Table




Here is a list of the Project Performance table fields:


  • Project Name
    Mentions the Name of the Project.

  • Start date - Planned
    Mentions the Start date that is planned for the project at the time of project creation.

  • Start Date - Actual
    Mentions the Start date on which the project actually started.


  • Starting Delay
    Mentions the difference between the actual vs planned start dates.

  • End date - Planned
    Mentions the End date that is planned for the project at the time of project creation.


  • End date - Actual
    Mentions the End date on which the project was actually marked as Complete.


  • Completion Delay
    Mentions the difference between the actual vs planned end dates.

  • Duration - Planned
    Mentions the total duration of a project that was planned during project creation. Basically, it is the difference between actual end and start dates.

  • Duration - Actual
    Mentions the actual duration for which the project was run. Basically, it is the difference between actual end and start dates.


  • Duration Difference
    Mentions the difference in the number of hours 

  • Budgeted Hours
    Mentions the total number of budgeted hours assigned to a project.

  • Total Tracked Hours
    The total number of hours that have been tracked by team members in the project.

  • Hours Difference
    Mentions the difference between the budgeted and tracked hours.

  • Customer Name
    Mentions the Customer Name project field.
  • Status
    Mentions the current Status of the project.

  • Project Owner
    Mentions the team member who created the project.

  • Template
    Mentions the name of the Template that has been used to create the project.

  • Last 5 updates
    Last 5 Status Updates that have been generated for the project.

Project Performance Cards

  • Phases completed on time
    Mentions the percentage of phases that have the same planned and actual start dates.

  • Tasks completed on time
    Mentions the percentage of tasks that have the same planned and actual start dates.

  • Average project CSAT
    Mentions the CSAT rating of all project CSAT ratings.

  • Project Name
    Mentions the Name of the Project.

  • Phases
    Mentions the number of phases in the project.

  • Phases completed on-time
    Mentions the number of phases in the project that have been marked completed on the planned due date.


  • Phases completed Late
    Mentions the number of phases in the project that have been marked completed after the planned due date.

  • Tasks
    Mentions the number of tasks in the project.


  • Tasks completed on-time
    Mentions the count of tasks completed on time.


  • Tasks completed Late
    Mentions the number of tasks in the project that have been marked completed after the planned due date.


  • Tasks not completed 
    Mentions the number of tasks in the project that have not yet been marked as Completed.


  • Milestones
    Mentions the number of tasks marked as Milestone in the project.


  • Milestones completed on-time
    Mentions the number of milestone tasks in the project that have been marked completed on the planned due date.


  • Milestones completed Late
    Mentions the number of milestone tasks in the project that have been marked completed after the planned due date.


  • Milestones not completed 
    Mentions the number of milestone tasks in the project that have not yet been marked as Completed.


  • Project CSAT
    Mentions the average CSAT rating of the project.

  • Non Template tasks
    Mentions the number of tasks in the project that were not a part of the template used for that project.


  • Customer Name
    Mentions the Customer Name project field.


  • Status
    Mentions the current Status of the project.

  • Project Owner
    Mentions the team member who created the project.

  • Template
    Mentions the name of the Template that has been used to create the project.
