Rocketlane’s integration with Microsoft Teams enhances project documentation by utilising meeting recordings and transcripts to generate actionable insights with AI Fills.

Prerequisites for Integrating Microsoft Teams with Rocketlane

Before proceeding with the integration, ensure the following requirements are met:

1. Valid Microsoft License:

   • Your account should have a valid Office 365 or Microsoft 365 license, such as E1, E3, E5, A1, A3, A5, or Business Basic, Standard, or Premium.

2. Admin Privileges:

   • You must be the account owner or have admin privileges to configure the required settings.

3. Teams Meeting Policy Configuration:

   • Ensure the following meeting policy settings are enabled:

     • Allow Cloud Recording: Set to True.

     • Allow Transcription: Set to True.

How to Add the Microsoft Teams Integration in Rocketlane

To connect Microsoft Teams with Rocketlane, follow these steps:

• Log In to your Rocketlane account.:

• Navigate to Settings > AI Capabilities > AI Fills > Connect Your Video Conference Tools.

• Connect Microsoft Teams:

  • Click on Microsoft Teams and then click Connect.

  • You will be redirected to sign in with your Microsoft Teams Admin account.

• Teams Application Access Policy: The Teams Application Access Policy must be configured to allow Rocketlane to access meeting data, in order to allow Rocketlane to access meeting recordings and transcripts.

Once the integration is complete, Rocketlane will have access to meeting recordings and transcripts from Microsoft Teams for use with AI Fills. 

Using Microsoft Teams & AI Fills in Rocketlane

After integrating Microsoft Teams, Rocketlane can retrieve meeting data stored in Teams and process it with AI Fills to generate useful content for your projects.

1. Recording Meetings:

   • Ensure meetings are recorded during calls. Microsoft Teams generates transcripts automatically for recorded meetings, which Rocketlane can access.

2. Generate Meeting Insights:

   • Rocketlane retrieves recordings and transcripts, using AI Fills to create:

     • Summaries

     • Bullet points

     • Action items

3. Apply AI Fills to Projects:

   • Use AI Fills to generate project updates, internal notes, or project documentation directly from meeting insights.

How to Disconnect Microsoft Teams from Rocketlane

If you need to remove the Microsoft Teams integration from Rocketlane:

1. Navigate to AI Fills Settings:

   • Go to Settings > AI Capabilities > AI Fills > Connect Your Video Conference Tools.

2. Disconnect Microsoft Teams:

   • Click on the Microsoft Teams option and select Disconnect.

Rocketlane will no longer fetch new meeting recordings or transcripts from Microsoft Teams. Previously retrieved data will remain accessible in Rocketlane for generating content.
