Rocketlane’s integration with Google Meet streamlines project documentation by capturing meeting recordings and generating insights directly using AI Fills. This guide walks you through the prerequisites, integration process, and usage.

Prerequisites for Integrating Google Meet with Rocketlane

Before integrating Google Meet with Rocketlane, ensure the following requirements are met:

  1. Business Plan: Your Google Workspace account must be on the Business Plan or higher.

  2. Admin Permissions: Admin privileges are required to enable meeting recording and transcription in Google Meet.

How to Add the Google Meet Integration in Rocketlane

To integrate Google Meet with Rocketlane, follow these steps:

  1. Log In to your Rocketlane account.

  2. Navigate to AI Fills Settings:

    • Go to Settings > AI Capabilities > AI Fills > Connect Your Video Conference Tools.

  3. Connect Google Meet:

    • Under Google Meet click on Connect.

    • You will be prompted to sign in to your Google account. Ensure that you sign in with the account that has admin privileges.

  4. Authorize Rocketlane:

    • Authorize Rocketlane to access meeting recordings and transcripts from your Google Meet account.

Once authorized, the integration is complete. Rocketlane can now access meeting recordings and transcripts for processing with AI Fills.

Using Google Meet & AI Fills in Rocketlane

After integrating Google Meet, Rocketlane can access meeting recordings and transcripts stored in Google Drive to generate actionable content using AI Fills.

  1. Recording and Transcription:

    • During a Google Meet call, the host must manually enable Record Meeting and transcription. These features ensure high-quality recordings and text transcripts for AI processing.

  2. Generate Meeting Insights:

    • Rocketlane retrieves the recordings and transcripts, which are processed with AI Fills to generate content such as:

      • Summaries

      • Bullet points

      • Action items

  3. Apply AI Fills to Projects:

    • Use AI Fills to auto-generate updates, project documents, or internal notes directly from meeting insights.

How to Disconnect Google Meet from Rocketlane

If you need to remove the Google Meet integration from Rocketlane:

  1. Navigate to AI Fills Settings:

    • Go to Settings > AI Capabilities > AI Fills > Connect Your Video Conference Tools.

  2. Disconnect Google Meet:

    • Click on the Google Meet option and select Disconnect.

Rocketlane will no longer access new meeting recordings or transcripts from Google Meet. Previously fetched recordings will remain available in Rocketlane for generating content.
