Configuring project budget alerts

Stay informed about the budget burn, and take proactive measures if alerts indicate potential overruns. You can set alerts for both 


  • Project hours and 

  • Budget usage. 


Configuring project budget alerts

To configure project budget alerts,


  • Go to your profile icon at the bottom of the page

  • Select settings and scroll down to the operations and finances section

  • Click on Financials 

  • On the Financials page, you will find the option to set up project budget alerts

  • Check the box near the preferred platform, which is Email, In-App or Slack to get alerts.

  • To set up Budget alerts, click the New Alert + button

  • In the New budget alert pane, set the threshold % for budget usage so that the system alerts you if the usage goes above the set %.

  • The project owners will automatically receive these alerts but, you can also check the box near notify team members and select the users from the Notify others dropdown to send alerts to them

  • Click on Create to complete setting up the alert.




Note: You can create multiple alerts to get notified at various stages of budget usage to always stay within limits.


Configuring Project hours alert

  • To set up project hours alerts, click on New Alert +

  • In the New budget alert pane, set the threshold % for project hours utilization so that, if the project hours exceeds the set % the system alerts you.

  • Similar to budget alerts, you can choose the people who need to get alerted on the project hours usage too.
