Quick guide to setting up Financials

The first step in getting your project financial set up is to enable the Financial Management feature for your account.

Take up a course on Financial Management here.


To do so,


  • Navigate to your avatar at the bottom of the page

  • Click on Settings and scroll down to the Operations and Financials section.

  • Select Financial Management

  • Turn on the toggle to enable Financial for your account



In Rocketlane, you can set the bill and cost rates for your team members. These rates play a significant role in calculating your revenue and profit margins, giving you a better understanding of how your project's revenue is progressing. Bill rates refer to the amount you charge your customers, while cost rates refer to the salary cost of your employees.


After enabling Financials, proceed to configure the following:

- Rate cards 

- Cost rate
