Additionally, it enables timesheet evaluations, which help with accurate cost tracking and recognizing team contributions to improved profit margins. With this tool, you can ensure that every moment spent on projects contributes to your success.

The analytics comprises five essential reports:

1. Utilization: Understand how effectively your team's time is being utilised.

2. Category time: Identify key areas of time consumption, such as meetings and training, providing insights into priority activities.

3. Project time: Evaluate the alignment between planned and actual time spent on projects, ensuring better project management.

4. People time: Gain a holistic view of your team's productivity landscape.

5. Timesheet Submissions: Assess the accuracy and integrity of timesheet submissions, which is crucial for sound financial accounting.

Let’s explore these reports in detail:

Utilization report

The utilization rate is a metric that can help you streamline your project management processes and optimize overall profitability.

  • By measuring the percentage of billable work completed within the allotted time, you can assess your teams’ efficiency and identify areas for improvement.

  • By closely monitoring individual utilization rates, teams can strategically align resource availability with project demands, ensuring that team members are engaging in billable work.

  • This synchronization can lead to an increase in the number of billable hours, which can directly contribute to your revenue.

Therefore, maintaining an optimal utilization rate is instrumental for equitable workload distribution, strategic resource allocation, and overall success in project management.

In this comprehensive report, you'll access utilization rates for all team members categorized by roles or status within a selected time range.

Filters: Use filters to focus on the utilization rates of a specific subset of team members. For instance, you can apply filters such as "Role is Consultant."

Time Range: This denotes the time frame under scrutiny for analyzing utilization rates.

Group By: Team members can be effectively grouped based on roles or status, allowing for a streamlined view of their utilization rates.

Utilization: The overall utilization metric encompasses all work, both billable and non-billable, executed on projects.

Utilization = Time tracked / (Capacity - Timeoffs - Holidays)

Billable utilization: Billable utilization, on the other hand, is specifically time utilised to do billable work.

Billable utilization = Billable time tracked / (Capacity - Timeoffs - Holidays)

Monthly: Ability to categorize data into monthly, weekly, or quarterly intervals.

Category time report

Categorizing the time spent on project activities provides a clear overview of the primary areas where your team invests its time. This approach facilitates the optimization of team time management, helping you identify opportunities to streamline processes or automate tasks that require minimal attention. The resulting analysis is invaluable for guiding the team towards prioritizing billable work, leading to higher utilization rates and increased profits.
