How to Use Status Update Templates in a Project?

Status update templates help you to automate the process of keeping all team members in a project updated. You can customise your updates according to what you want to focus on.You can choose from a range of options from tasks, milestones and approvals.

The team members will receive updates via email on their registered email ids. Templates will auto-populate the data according to your project.

The steps below explain how to add status update templates to your projects.

  1. Go to Projects and select the project that needs status updates. Choose Status updates to add a new update.

  2. Click on New update to add a new status update to the project.

  3. Select the Choose from templates option from the drop down menu options.

  4. In the Status update templates dialog box, select a template.

  5. The template can now be edited for publishing status updates for the project.

  6. The template customises your status update by auto populating the list of tasks from your project.

  7. You can add text and more sections of tasks, milestones and approvals to your status update.

  8. Once your status update format is finalised, you can click Publish.

  9. You will be asked again to confirm the status update being published to the client's side. Click Publish.

  10. The team members of the project will receive status updates via email. The frequency of the updates will depend on the template.
